As a Technical Team Lead & Senior Engineer, you will hold a combined role that blends hands-on technical expertise with people leadership. You will remain actively involved in the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable Microsoft Cloud solutions, while also leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of engineers.
In this role, you will act as both a technical engineer and a team leader, setting technical direction, ensuring high-quality delivery, and fostering a collaborative, customer-focused culture. You will work closely with customers, architects, and stakeholders to translate business needs into robust cloud solutions, while guiding the team through technical challenges.
This position is ideal for an experienced Microsoft Cloud engineer who wants to continue working hands-on with technology while also taking responsibility for team leadership, technical quality, and delivery excellence.

Your role & influence as Technical Team Lead & Senior Engineer - Microsoft Cloud
Responsibility: You will be given the responsibility to play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, continuous improvement, and high-quality service delivery. You combine hands-on technical leadership with day-to-day operational oversight, while actively shaping how our Microsoft Cloud platforms evolve and are operated.
Collaboration: Together with the team, you will support and strengthen operational delivery by guiding teams in their daily work and ensuring platform health, performance, and stability across Microsoft Cloud environments. Acting as a trusted technical leader, you will drive initiatives that improve reliability, automation, security, and efficiency, while maintaining a strong customer- and service-focused mindset.
Core activities:
Developing people and building capability: You will lead knowledge-sharing sessions, promote best practices, and ensure consistent onboarding and continuous upskilling of operations teams, enabling them to operate confidently and effectively in cloud environments
Oversee the daily health, performance, and availability of Microsoft Cloud platforms as part of operational day-to-day work
Contribute to platform roadmaps, participate in changes, and provide input to operational governance and review forums, ensuring changes are well-governed, secure, and aligned with operational needs
Evaluate and onboard new features and capabilities, assessing their impact on operational stability, automation, and service quality

Additionally, it's important that:
You have a bachelor's degree level of working and thinking
Minimum 5–8 years of professional experience as a senior engineer within Microsoft Cloud Services technology
Experienced Technical Team Lead with a proven track record of leading cross-functional engineering teams, mentoring engineers, and delivering successful outcomes
Technical skills in Microsoft Cloud Services (Azure, Microsoft 365, Defender for Cloud)
A strong ability to drive successful delivery of secure, scalable cloud solutions, from design through implementation and optimization
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to translate customer needs into practical and secure cloud solutions
A structured and quality-driven mindset, combined with strong ownership, attention to detail, and accountability, and the ability to lead by example, handle feedback constructively, and foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture
Fluent in English (and preferably Norwegian, another Scandinavian language or Dutch, for regional collaboration)
